Last week, I learned about the astrolabe. The astrolabe can measure time and mostly anything in the universe.  Then we learned more about the artists. I learned many different techniques of paintings and different stories about the artists' lives. Here are some examples about the arts and artists. Caravaggio did a technique for the arts called tenebrism. Which means "dark manner." Pozzo made a painting called "Triumph of St. Ignatius of Loyola." He uses quadratura, which used to trick the eye into believing that the architecture of the church, its columns and arches, extends past the actual ceiling. Lastly, the three goals of the Counter-reformation of arts were clarity, realism, and emotions.
